Founder & Course Lead

Ash Kibria

After graduating with a Mathematics BSc 1st-Class Honours from King's College London, I entered the world of teaching through the Teach First Leadership Development Program. I received my PGCE Secondary Mathematics qualification from the UCL Institute of Education. I have worked in Good & Outstanding secondary schools across inner-London; and have been a GCSE Examiner since the beginning of new GCSE 9-1 Spec Curriculum. In 2015, I was 1 of 70 teachers in the whole UK to be selected and be a part of the UK-China Teacher Exchange Project - to research why the Chinese education system is the best in the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are the lessons delivered LIVE?

Yes! All of our lessons are delivered live by Ash - a Qualified Teacher & GCSE Maths Examiner.

  • What happens if my child misses a lesson?

All our lessons are recorded and uploaded onto the Learning Portal straight after each lesson. This allows students to catch up on any missed learning quickly. Students can log in to the Learning Portal to access all their previous lessons replays; Lesson Workbooks and Homework; and additional resources such as Past Exam Papers, model solutions, progress trackers, revision templates and much much more!

  • How is my child's progress monitored?

We have MULTIPLE assessment points throughout your child's learning journey with us. These assessments allow us to identify your child's strengths and areas to improve on in their maths learning. We provide regular structured feedback throughout the programs.

  • How many students do you have per group?

We want to help as many students as we can improve their maths! Our structured programs ensures students with similar ages and abilities are grouped together. Our class sizes varies from anywhere between 5 to 30 students per group. Although group tutoring, the lesson will still feel like a one-to-one as they'll just see the teaching screen (and not other students), hear the tutors voice and be able to have all their questions and queries within the lesson answered in real time.

  • How do you give my child attention and answer their specific questions within a group?

We do not start our lessons with a blank white board screen. We do not teach from the top of our head, or make up questions on the spot for students to try. We hold ourselves to a higher standard. This is why EACH lesson is pre-planned by professional practising maths teachers. Your child will receive a Lesson Workbook BEFORE each lesson so they will know exactly what we will be covering and the type of questions that will come up. As we go through the lesson, there will be ample opportunities for students to ask questions and get them answered in real-time.

  • Can students ask questions or receive additional maths support outside of the lessons?

Yes! Students have 24/7 access to the 'Learning Community'. It's a forum where students can ask any maths related questions, or take pictures of questions their stuck on and post them. Any tutor and student online can then help them with their maths question by sharing their own solutions or providing hints and tips to push them in the right direction! This is a powerful feature unique to us that allows students of similar abilities, mindsets and learning goals to help support, motivate and learn from one another.

  • What safeguarding measures do you have in place?

All parents and students agree to a Tuition Agreement before joining our programs. Within the Agreement, our Online Code of Conduct is clearly outlined for students, parents and tutors to adhere to. In addition, before starting any lesson, students must watch the Welcome/Onboarding Call where we break down what to expect from the program, how to make the most out of their learning experience and the safeguarding practices we have in place to help students protect themselves online.

  • I'd like to see more Reviews and Testimonials from other Parents? Do you have any?

Yes of course! We have many! You can see them on the 'Reviews & Testimonials' link at the bottom of the page.

  • I'd love to speak to someone on the GCSE Maths Masterclass to find out more. Can I get in touch?

We would love to speak to you too! Click 'Contact Us' on the bottom of the page for all the different ways you can get in touch :)
